Jani Hegarty

Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Jani is responsible for setting the organization’s direction, mobilizing the business units through its leaders, engaging the board, connecting with stakeholders, and managing personnel effectiveness. HWP is a leading provider of medical communications solutions to global life sciences companies and has built a reputation for achieving outcomes that are measured across customer type and delivery method, be it in-person, digital, or virtual. HWP supports life-science companies across a multitude of therapeutic areas and disease states, from early preclinical to patent expiry.

Jani founded HWP 18 years ago and recently partnered with NMS Capital, LLC, to accelerate growth through investment in expanding therapeutic expertise and delivering new services. In addition to her attention to the business, Jani is a mentor and advocate for professional growth, ensuring that all HWP staff have access to career-building opportunities. Jani is committed to giving back to the broader community and is actively involved in many charitable organizations and causes, having taken on several leadership roles in her efforts. She is an inaugural member of the Valley Women’s Health Board, past board member for Oasis–A Haven for Women and Children, and an executive board member of IronMatt: The Matthew Larson Foundation for Pediatric Brain Tumors.

Eric Buzzelli

Senior Vice President, Information Technology

Eric leads the architecture, deployment, and support of HWP’s Technology infrastructure. He oversees the Software Development, Product Management, and Data Reporting teams responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-wide functions with a focus on delivering solutions to streamline business process. Eric has worked side-by-side with HWP leadership and staff to expand the company’s technology needs, ensuring a strong foundation and platform focused on growth. This technology expertise plays a large role in defining HWP for its clients and ultimately helps healthcare professionals who benefit from our work. Prior to joining HWP full time in 2019, Eric worked as a technology consultant in private practice for nearly 20 years in the financial, legal, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare fields.

Audrey Pezutti

Chief Information Officer and Founder

Audrey is a lifelong learner who is passionate about growing business through technological innovation and software process improvements. She has a commendable track record of developing and implementing systems, applications, and custom solutions that benefit colleagues and delight clients. Audrey’s handpicked team of technology masters, digital innovators, database application specialists, software developers, data stewards, creative whizzes, and strategic systems thinkers has helped hundreds of colleagues do their work efficiently, productively, creatively, and friction free. Her team enables what clients value the most about HWP: cutting-edge, technology-enabled solutions that further their goals in medical communications and education.

Seth Prouty, MBA

Chief Financial Officer

Seth is involved in all aspects of the company’s financial affairs. He oversees finance, accounting, procurement, HR, and administrative services. In his role, he collaborates with all departments to ensure that proper financial controls are established and followed, and he facilitates financial training as needed to promote financial acumen across the organization. He establishes financial reporting systems and controls to ensure compliance with all company and client needs, including reporting for the Physician Payments Sunshine Act and fair market value analysis. Seth’s commitment to the responsible management of client funds on their behalf allows HWP to retain clients, grow with them, and strengthen our reputation. In addition, Seth has been committed to developing himself as a leader in the organization by participating in the HWP leadership development program and helping to grow the management training program. Outside of the office, Seth is very involved in his children’s various extracurricular activities, and he volunteers whenever possible.

Guy D'Esposito

Managing Director, Speaker Bureau

Guy leads the meeting planning and program management departments for our speaker bureau. He brings to HWP more than 15 years of executive oversight experience in the life science industry, specifically speaker bureau account and operations management. During his career, he has successfully led the transformation of organizational structures and processes across multiple service support areas that have resulted in the delivery of customer service and compliance excellence to his client partners.

Guy looks forward to continuing to build upon HWP’s market-leading innovation and support of its clients in delivering world-class speaker programs that optimize patient care.

Jessica Cini

Managing Director, Account Services

Jessica is a trusted leader who mentors and motivates her team of more than 25 account professionals to grow HWP’s business portfolio, while maintaining the superior level of service our clients have come to expect. During the past 20-plus years, she has delivered creative, novel solutions to drive the advancement of patient care. Her core strengths include cultivating strong client relationships, supporting brand strategy and tactics, maintaining strict compliance, and providing superior customer service—all while using her proven judgment and management skills to ensure projects are delivered on target and on schedule. Jessica has gained experience on multiple client accounts in diverse therapeutic categories, including psychiatry, neurology, and rare diseases. Her tenure has made her a well-known name among key opinion leaders, clients, and other critical members in the industry.

Jamie Glass

Managing Director, Operations

Jamie establishes consistent and efficient operations for the medical marketing and medical affairs business units and develops processes and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of HWP and its clients. She ensures smooth and consistent internal coordination and management of projects across the company’s departments, and she develops and implements standard operating procedures to promote effective communication and collaborative work. Jamie has established the Operations Department to support HWP processes, and she oversees and manages our Editorial Services, Marketing Operations, Comprehensive Creative Services, and Meeting and Event Operations departments. Additionally, she established the HWP publications team. She has an extensive background across a variety of project types and disease states, making her a strong operations lead for HWP.

Elizabeth Rappa, PharmD, RPh

Senior Vice President, Scientific and Medical Services

As a healthcare professional, Elizabeth understands the importance of clear and effective medical education in enhancing patient care and helping clinicians make evidence-based decisions. Elizabeth has more than 17 years of experience partnering with life science companies to ensure that the most important data is delivered to the appropriate decision makers in user-friendly formats. At HWP, she leads the Scientific and Medical Services department, a group of highly experienced, skilled medical writers and directors who expertly translate science into impactful and strategic educational content.
