What You Need to Know

We are looking to add a Vice President, Program Direction to the Program Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for oversight and direction of all activities related to speaker bureau program management and program direction. This role requires a deep understanding of speaker bureau program execution, medical terminology, pharmaceutical products, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Vice President, Program Direction will build strong client relationships and provide leadership to internal teams.

What You’ll Do

You will be accountable to the Managing Director, Speaker Bureau and speaker bureau clients. You will be responsible for program success from proposal stages to completion, maintaining quality standards and identifying opportunities for process improvement. In addition, you will:

  • Ensure financial transparency and accuracy in all program-related activities
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce costs
  • Support new business initiatives through strategic planning to drive revenue growth
  • Oversee speaker management, utilization, and quality control metrics
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for clients and speakers, managing relationships effectively
  • Provide day-to-day management and communications with internal teams
  • Oversee development, tracking and publishing program components, including P2P invitations, assessments, bio books, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure HWP is a leader in speaker bureau execution
  • Identify and implement new processes, technologies, and systems for operational improvement

What You’ll Have

  • 10+ years’ related industry speaker bureau experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Adobe® Acrobat
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmaceutical products
  • Knowledge of regulations and program implementation procedures
  • Superior time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail with excellent multitasking abilities
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and problem-solving skills

  • Salary range: $130,000-160,000 annually. HWP expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.
