Infectious diseases

The field of infectious diseases continues to evolve from a reactive, pathogen-focused discipline to a more proactive, technology-enabled one driven by advances in genomics, rapid diagnostics, data science and vaccine platforms. At the same time, it is expanding in scope to address emerging and re-emerging threats, antimicrobial resistance, post-infectious syndromes and health equity through closer integration of clinical care, public health, and policy.
